Physical Education Update

Date: September 14, 2015 Author: Nicole Nathan Categories: 7 - 8, 9 - 12 3

Good Morning Parents!
My name is Nicole Nathan and I’m very excited to be teaching your son/daughter’s Physical Education enrichment class this year! The past two weeks have been great getting to know the students and preparing for what should be a really fun year.
Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that, on occasion, I will be taking the students off campus for a planned activity. Students and parents will be given prior notice of these planned field trips and whether there might be any need for special equipment/clothing,/help car pooling/etc…
Last week, I request that the students arrange to have their bikes and helmets brought to HACIL for their Phys Ed class the week of September 21st 2015. With your help, we will be enjoying an hour of bicycling using one of the area’s many trail systems. Parents, you are welcome to join us, also! I understand there are a few students that do not own a bike, so please contact me and I will try to bring a few of my own extra bikes/helmets for them.
Please feel free to contact me for any questions you may have regarding this or any other aspect of the Physical Education plans for the school-year! My school email address is:  nnathan@hayward.k12.wi.us
Thank you in advance, look forward to meeting each of you at some point during the year. -Nicole

Could you please specify which grades should bring their bikes/helmets that week?
    Thank you!

Thanks so much for asking… This is for 9-12 grade and 7-8 grade only. Hope that helps.

I was hoping this was for everyone. I was just thinking about how much fun it would be to bring our bike for recess. When Caitie was at northwoods preschool they rode bikes and scooters at recess. With the help of parents they also took the kids cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Maybe it’s possible. Thanks, Aimee Elmer
