Thanks to all the ladies who participated in the Thrift Store Scavenger Hunt.  We had a great time. Due to the fact that Tuesdays group ate the price before we went, we had Michelle Stone provide us with another prize.  We all loved the cookies she made, so here is the recipe.

Almond Joy Cookies

1 cup butter

1 1/2 cup sugar

1 1/2 brown sugar

Cream together above

4 eggs

3 tsp vanilla

4 1/2 cup flour

2 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

2 1/2 cups chocolate chips

2 cups sweetened coconut

2 cups almonds

Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes

Great idea, Karen! The thrift store scavenger hunt was fun way to do something as a group without having to spend a lot of money. 🙂

Michelle, thanks for sharing the recipe. The almond cookies you made were delicious. Last night, I had two with a glass of milk for a nighttime snack. 🙂 I know I’ll be making these cookies in the future for my family to enjoy.
