Dear 9-12 Wisconsin Adventure students and families,

We are excited to announce another outing opportunity for class on November 29th and December 1st.   The class will be leaving HACIL at 2pm via bus and travel to the Cable Natural History Museum.  Museum naturalist, Emily Stone, will share topographical maps and information covering the glacier formations of northern Wisconsin.  We will  then travel by bus to the privately owned Telemark property to hike up Mt. Telemark, the 15th highest peak in Wisconsin.  We will reach an elevation of 1,703 feet and have the opportunity to see the surrounding, beautiful Chequamegon National Forest.  If the day is clear, we will be able to see St. Peter’s Dome, 20 miles away.

The bus will return to HACIL by 5:30pm.

Please dress for the weather (it can be very windy at the top); bring an after school snack, water bottle, binoculars and a camera (if wanted).  If you need to make alternate arrangements for pick up or do not intend to participate, please notify the HACIL office.  If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Prickette or Mrs. Davis.

We are looking forward to trekking with you all!

Due to Sarah’s piano lesson, she will be unable to attend the trip to Cable.
